Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
I just bought it through the newspaper.. and have fixed all of the ''issues'' it had except for the sound. Ive tried drivers and everything else i know. on thing that seems to prob. be the issue is, the ring of plastic that is on the headphonejack hole is partially broken off.... i dont see anything in the slot now, but maybe something coulda broken off in it at one point and time
A partial solution is to purchase a USB audio adapter or an external sound card. Your headphone jack is soldered to the motherboard and probably too expensive to have fixed, considering your investment is in a used laptop. With an external sound card you can also upgrade the sound.

Sounds like you should replace the jack, it's prolly got you half way between audio and no audio or simply disconnect/cut it, that should revert it back to standard laptop audio.
