Yes the voltage on my keyboard has to be 1.5v or greater per cell to get it to work well with my keyboard. Fresh alkaline won't hold 1.5v very long. And I like rechargables and they never get to 1.5v per cell. So I added a third AA battery and run rechargables. Now it works until the cells drop to 1.0v each.

Make sure the mouse batteries are good. then,
Normal 0
Turn the mouse over and find the smallrest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it toReset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then pressthe mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries orglitch.

Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT
button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the
receiver.
If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button
on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they
should work okay.

Have you tried pairing them??? Press the button on the transceiver til the light flashes and then in turn press the mouse pair button followed by the keyboard pairing button. See if this fixes it
