/- 19V line is shorted on A and B boards
IC708 is defective on A board
PS701 or PS702 (both are fuses) is blown on A board

Hope these info will help you.

My sony bravia kdl32-130 has indicator led on but no pict or sound

Hi jeremyfid
I'm sorry for uninformative answers for your Sony Bravia tv, I'm Sony tech and can assist you to solve it.
Let me know exact model number of tv written at back and what you have been tried so far to fix the problem info.
Does tv show on-screen display in any input?
This will help me to diagnose problem.

Solution-1 and Solution-2 are totally unrelated and both guys have no idea about tv repair. I would recommend FY Admins to take off their TV Badge, they do not deserve TV Badge.

Sony 51 inch rear projection tv has convergence problem d board

what is it that you want FIXYA to do in this situation?
We do not recommend board swapping or DIY
Call a technician to get oit fixed these problems are not DIY as they require circuit diagram skill special tools to check voltage and ohmage and an understanding of High voltage safety.. Board swapping newver fixes it, only on a tempory basis at best and at greater expense in the long run. That is why we suggest not to DIY

Please rate our help++++Thanks for using FIXYA

The tv goes on stand by mode by itself. My 57' sony does not turn on but remains in stand by mode. Blinks 9x then stops, then starts all over again. What needs to be done?

9 blink in your Sony KP-57WS500 shows error / problem in Audio section.

1= +19 volts &-19 volts are shorted by any reason on A and B board.
2= IC708 is faulty on A board
3= PS701 & PS702 (fuse) are open on A board.

Above are possible reasons of 9 blinks.
If you have electronics knowledge and have tv repair skills then check as per above info. otherwise I recommend get help of TV tech person or contact nearest Sony service center.
Thank you.

Picture very blurry with lines going accross screen

hi gud day! your problem has a solution. Just try to fix your tv from blurry picture. Pull the socket at hte back of the picture tube. remove the socket from pcb(printed circuit board) de solder the pins. then after that, if you see a 2 metal formed like a small mountain facing each other, try to clean those remove the rust (green color) using sander or any material you can use, just avoid using oil on that bcause it is sparking. then try to install it again and try to turn on your tv. if still not working replace that socket with a new one. you can buy it at any electronic supply store. and re install then on it again.. surely it will fix your tv without expensive components.

be sure unplugging the tv from ac souce before disassimbling...

thanks,
janex

This is correct the TV does not have a G board and the statement that resoldering the parts is misleading. I fixed my daughters by resoldering the following: D647 Q605 C690 D645 D620 R691 Q691 I tested all the parts in the circuit they tested good. I am an Electrical/Electronic Engineer this fix will do you well. Locate the Q605 located on the main boar and all the above parts listed. Or just carefully heat each of the pads in the area and add a small amount of solder. Make sure they are shinny dull is a problem joint. Don't put too much heat on the pad it will lift. Use a 15 to 30 watt grounded soldering iron. (has a ground on the ac plug) Fix it and enjoy saving yourself a large fee. PS do not mess with the small surface mount parts, you will be asking for more problems. If this don't work relist and I will give you voltages to check....
