ASEA CYLINDA 1200 Dish Washer Electric Motor Wiring Connections

I removed the electric motor/pump to rectify the seized pump. Not sure now how to connect the electrical wires from the pump to the switch (?) - yellow cylinder in shape behind the electric motor with 4 connection points on the top (it appears that two blue wires were comnnected to two points in line). There is also a 3 points plug connecting into the electric motor plug and the blue wire came out of the plug. Not sure which points connect to which wire. When I switched on the machine, I believe the pump was pumping out rather than pumping water into the machine. It may be because I have my wires crossed. Don't know. If I saw a wiring diagram for the machine, that would help. Thanks.

Will an electric motor with more horsepower and more rpm hurt a compressor pump?

Electric motors seem to turn around 1125 rpm or 3600 rpm. The pulley size on the motor and pump must be adjusted to achieve the desired result without overheating /loading the motor. I have seen pumps turning from 800 to 1200 rpm using different pulley size on motor, motor hp and motor rpm. Some brands will turn same pump from 1200 to 3600 rpm depending on if was electric or gas motor. This will certainly shorten the life of the pump but will most likely work. Most turn an average of 1200 rpm for good balance of long life and good supply of air. Pump rpm is usually limited to the power of the motor. Cost effective match of 1.5 hp motor will turn pump about 1000 - 1200 rpm for about 5cfm. Rol Air 2hp motor turns 2 cyl pump about 1100 rpm for 10 cfm. Good luck

• Check if water strainers on solenoid valve assembly are clogged.
• Check for obstructions inside inlet water hoses.

I have a creda excel 1200 the other day the water started to come out of the door and it tripped the electric, anyway i now managed to drain some of the water out of the machine but now its still tripping...

Remove back from machine, dissconnect motor plug from motor, then turn machine on, if electric trips then you know motor is ok so place plug back into it, then do pump, and so on untile something is disconnected and fuse wont trip. Make sure you do not have machine connected to power supply while removing wires, also that wires do not come into contact with anything when disconnected. And dont remove Any earth wires

Removing a built in Asea Skandia cylinda 1200

Its normal to have the water supply from under sink to dishwasher 3/8 soft copper. If there is a water stop under sink for dishwasher go ahead and shut it off. If not you will have to shut water off at main. Now you can unscrew supply at dishwasher, it's close to the front on left side. Its a 3/8 compression nut, you can use a small cresent wrench.

User Manual of Asea Cylinda 1200 Dishwasher

One of these was in my house when I moved in, still have the manual. Very efficient dishwasher.
A is a prewash (machine will stop after it). Manual says it's meant to rinse stuff while you wait until you've filled the machine to run a full wash.
D is economy wash. Water is heated according to the switch you select on the front.
C is a prewash that will continue on to D (normal cycle). Water is at incoming temp.
B is another prewash that will continue on the C etc (heavy cycle). Like C, water is at incoming temp.
E is dry cycle. Heating element is on/off depending on switch on the front (dunno why you'd turn it off..)
While turning the dial, push it in and it will stop exactly at the start of theach cycle.
Mine has stopped emptying, think the pump has died, looking for a replacement..
