When I try to update my pc I keep getting an error saying that windows could not search for new updates. I also cannot update World of Warcraft I am getting an error halfway through. MSN Messenger also will not work. Could these all be the same problem? They all happened tonight, pretty much out of nowhere

your computer simply may not be able to play world of warcraft anymore. you may need to splurge and buy a more game-intensive computer, or upgrade the video card. good brands to look for are anything ati and nvidia.

This is what worked for me –
Made a copy of the file expansion-speech-enUS.MPQ changed the copied file name to speech-enUS.MPQ, both files are in the same folder.

Unable to Validate Game Version

Two causes for this error meassge either you are not running the latest version of World of Warcraft, or your game files have been modified.

It is possible that you have a virus or program which is modifying files on your computer. Scan your computer with an updated anti virus program to make sure that your machine is clean. Then make sure you are launching the game using Launcher.exe
If none of the above helps they are a few repairing tools that might fix your game, you might want to check "Fix Wareout".

Good luck.
