You probably just need the connection of your click wheel re-connected with the rest of the ipod. It might have just came apart. Or you might just need a whole new click wheel. If you can, get it checked by a professional.

Ipod shuffle wont play

If iPod shuffle isn’t playing music
â iPod shuffle might not have any music on it. If you hear the message “Please use
iTunes to sync music,” connect iPod shuffle to your computer to sync music to it.
â Slide the three-way switch off and then on again.
â Make sure the earphone or headphone connector is pushed in all the way.
â Make sure the volume is adjusted properly. A volume limit might be set. See “Setting
a Volume Limit” on page 25.
â iPod shuffle might be paused. Try clicking the Center button on the earphone remote

80gb ipod video broken clickwheel buttons

Its possible your click wheel has gone bad, what you should try before freaking out is to do a hard reset. To do so hold down the center and menu buttons for 10 seconds. if there is still no response at all, then your clickwheel is fried and you should look online for a new front cover with a new click wheel.

Ipod nano silver 2gb

The user's manual is available from Apple's website if you never received one. You have to og into the men usettings and turn the shuffle off. There is only play and pause on this unit - there is no stop. It goes to sleep after 10-15 minutes by design. The right side of the clickwheel lets you select songs - the center button lets you play the songs once you have selected them. It takes a while to get used to the clickwheel, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes 2nd nature.

Audiobook download

Playing Songs, Audiobooks, and Podcasts on iPod shuffle iPod shuffle allows you to play your audio files in a couple different ways—you can play songs, audiobooks, and podcasts in the order in which they appear on your player, or let iPod shuffle work its namesake magic for you (that is, shuffle the files by playing them randomly).
Show Me How
If you want iPod shuffle to play audio files in the order in which they appear on the player, move the switch on the top of the iPod shuffle to the play in order (circular arrows) position. If you want iPod shuffle to play songs in random order, move the switch to the shuffle (crossed arrows) position.
ip02_playfnky_04_shuflebutton.gif This iPod Shuffle is set to shuffle.
To play music, an audiobook, or podcast, just press the Play/Pause button. To skip to the next song (or a different song if you're in shuffle mode, or a different chapter if you're listening to an audiobook or podcast), press the Next/Fast-forward button. To fast-forward through the audio, hold down the Next/Fast-forward button. To go back to the beginning of a song (or the previous chapter), press the Previous/Rewind button; press this button twice to go to the previous song or hold it down to rewind through the file.
To stop play, press the Play/Pause button during play. To turn off iPod shuffle, move the switch to the Off position (you shouldn't see green beneath the switch).

What is the "Clickwheel"? How is it different from the "Thumbwheel"?

The revolutionary "Clickwheel", introduced with the now discontinued iPod mini and also used on all subsequent iPod models (except the iPod shuffle), places pressure sensitive navigation buttons underneath the scroll wheel. The "Thumbwheel", introduced with the original iPod and used on the second and third generation models as well, is designed for one handed selection of song tracks and other information, but navigational buttons (play/pause, previous, next, menu, and select) are each separate buttons placed either around or above the "thumbwheel", depending on model.
