Blowing fuses My amp is blowing fuses as soon as you put them in. I have only had it for about 6-8 months. it started one day and my led light was fading in and out and bass was fading in and out. then i guess the fuse blew. we tried replacing the fuse. but as soon as you put it in, it pops and blows the fuse.

ABS fuse continues to blow, and now stereo will not put out sound

Hi, Ignacio you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. Have a 05 dodge 1500 the 4x4 switch an overhead console leds quit working an keeps blowing the fuse as soon as i put it in

Odd that your vehicle runs both systems on the same circuit and with only a 10 amp fuse. I'd try a 20 amp fuse to see if that works. Worth a shot, it shouldn't harm anything.

Number 15 fuse keeps blowing

Possible causes:
- Fuse is under rated.
- Short circuit in wiring.
- Fuse No. 15 is overloaded.
- Positive wire is shorted to ground.
- Check all the loads one by one which are put on this fuse.

2005 kia sorento change ext fuse and it keep blowing

I have a 2004 Sorento EX and my EXT fuse along with the stop lamp fuse kept blowing. The ext would blow as soon as I turned the vehicle on. The stop lamp would blow after a couple pushes of the brake pedal causeing me to have no rear lights at all regarding brake and the lights that you turn on at night. After much reading online in forums such as this, I was led on a chase looking for grounding wires, broken wires, dirty battery terminals, faulty altinator, and for a drl module. I could not find a drl module as I now do not believe there is one in sorentos, or at least in mine. I then came to the brake switch that is located on the arm of the brake pedal. I disconnected it, put a couple of new fuses in, started my vehicle and checked my fuses, and at last they did not blow! I reconnected the brake switch and checked the fuses and they had blown. I have a hunch that I am dealing with a faulty brake switch. Hope this helps

My 1997 Chevy suburban k1500 5.7L keeps blowing the 20-A ENG 1 fuse

I had this same problem with a 1997 Z71 K1500. That fuse was receiving power from the ignition switch in my truck. After putting 4 ignitions in it in 6 months, I finally figured out that every time I put the transfer case in 4Low, the service engine light would come on & the ignition switch would go bad soon after. The electric motor that engaged transfer case was bad. Every time I engaged 4 Low, It would throw power surge to ignition & blow it up.

I have a 2006 lancer es. My dash lights and tail lights went out. My dash lights dimmeed one day and the next da y it completly went out. Everytime I add a 7.5 fuse it blows as soon as I start my car. Any...

check your ciggerette lighter and power point and make sure they are clean. pull the lighter right out and try again. also a 7.5 amp fuse seems very small to run your dash and tail lights. should be a 20 amp fuse.

Blowing 20 amp fuse

Hi that fuse should be a 25 amp and it runs the blower, heater, the day time running lamps, automatic light control and the rear defogger you would have to check each unit at a time what I would do is put a hire fuse and look for smoke on the wiring as soon as iI see whats burning I take the fuse off but you have to be quick and pull out the fuse before any thing burns if not check each unit mention and look for good luck.

1989 honda accord headlight fuse blows as soon as replaced

you more than likely have a shorted wire in the headlight harness... you will have to check the wiring from the headlight bulbs to see if it has been pinched up against a sharp metal edge causing a grounded wire, or maybe the harness was crushed by an improper headlight installation.

My amp turns on then off while it slowly blows the fuse out

If I were a guessing man, I'd guess that you had your amp hooked up in a bridged configuration. And also that you connected your two speakers in parallel (plus to plus and minus to minus). And if I were to further guess, I'd guess that you have a blown amp now because of what I mentioned above. Sounds like you need to spend some quality time with your favorite electronic repair shop. Good luck.
