When attempting to connect to another phone, it says no devices found. Both phones have their bluetooth turned on and in discoverable mode. Have even tried bluetoothing to another Katalyst and it says the same thing.

Sorry there are still no solutions for this problem. The phone was designed only to connect Bluetooth for headset and hands free the SGH- T629 (an older model of this phone...allows you to access everything. Via Bluetooth, I'm able to connect to friends' phones, computers, GPS systems and many other things. You can check the settings of a phone by going under 'Settings' then 'Bluetooth' then 'Bluetooth Services' and it will tell you what the phone is able to connect to. On the 629 the list is under 'features': Headset, Handsfree, Serial Port, Dial up network, File transfer (this is what connects you to the pc and other bluetooth phone users), and Object push (data transfer). It's very frustrating for me also, not being able to connect to my GPS with the Katalyst is a headache. I wish I could be of more help.

I had the generation before the katalyst which the bluetooth worked on but incidentally the screen cracked. I agree, what's the point if you can only connect to devices that seem to be unnecessary features. It's a load of bs that t-mobile wants to limit the amount of access and freedom to our personal phones. We should have a say in this!!

After a little digging it appears that T-Mobile has intentionally disabled this ability. Nice of them eh? It looks like they want to "allow" us to use headsets or handsfree, but they don't feel we should be allowed to connect via bluetooth to our computers or to other phones. I guess we're either all potential criminal download pirates, or we'd make a major dent in T-Mobile's VAST revenue stream.

I wonder if this is mentioned in my contract. Because now I feel like cancelling early. If anybody gets a T-Mobile rep to bend and let you in on a workaround, please let me know.

make sure that all of the files that you have sent before via bleutooth was move on your memory card.take a lokk at your phone memory on how much is the free space.because once you transfer file via bluetooth it uses your phone memory. check your inbox outbox and myfolders.delete or move the files that is in there.then try to send via bluetooth again.hope I explained it well.
