Question about Kenwood KDC-MP628 CD Player

1 Answer

Help!! i recently purchased a new vehicle and installed my Kenwood kdc-mp628 in dash unit. it worked perfectly in my Ford Explorer, but.... ever since i have installed it in my Jeep only the tuner works. what i mean is that i could have any type of CD in the deck and all it will do is show the text across the screen as if the disk is playing, but there is no noise. the same thing goes for my auxillary input for my iPod. why would my tuner have perfect crystal clear sound when nothing else does?? i need to know if this issue could be an internal malfunction or can i fix this on my own...

contact kenwood with model no, and id no. off head unit casing they can give you the code to unlock.or if you have instruction manual that came with the head unit it might be in there.if not best buy will handle this problem, for a price.dont be shocked if kenwood does the same.after all its all about the if you feel that this head unit was stolen sometime in the past, and it was reported to kenwood, they will know .just to let you know.good luck.
