It is because It is because fat partitions dont suupport manupulation of files bigger than 4 gb. Convert it to ntfs and it will work. And you might wonder that it worked for 15 min. ISo when you play a game lots of cache is generated and size of game is nearly doubled so this causes problem on a fat partition. And on
If you have your internet to your computer and the PS3 you need a router to provide an IP for both. Otherwise your ISP will only provide an IP for what ever was hooked up first most of the time. If this is the case try only the PS3 and do the auto setup. Linksys is a simple router with great support. If there is already a router hooked up please clarify.
Hi!if the problem is recurring with other games then you will have to call Sony as it looks like a hardware error mostly in the lens mechanism..do u get an error code?i had the same problem and had to get the lens replaced..if your console is under warranty do call Sony..al details will be on the playstation3 site..hope it helps!
Seems that a glitch or error occured, I suggest Calling sony first as I am not there to actually diagnose it I dont want you to kill your system.. See what they can do for you 1-800-345-SONY (7669)
If not shut it off wait a few minutes and try to re-boot, if there are any other menues that pop up let me know. If you could tell me exactly what happens from turn on to the problem that would help.
try the game on a friends ps3, if it works then your system is shot and needs to be replaced/exchanged... the game disk its self would NOT crash the ps3 as long as it is a original ps disk and not a rip
The Red light is due to the HDD (hard drive).
There is one of 2 problems:
1. The connection is loose or
2. The HDD is just bad.
This was an issue that has been discussed over in the Playstation forums and it seems that re-seating
(removing & reinstalling) the HDD has solved the problem for many but some people have just
received bad hard drives period.
If you reinstall the HDD & it still beeps 3 times & gives you the red light, then you will have to replace
If I remember correctly, PS3s use Hitachi Laptop Drives. IMO, Hitachi is not well known for good
drives. I replaced mine with a 160GB Western Digital drive I got for free a few months ago. I haven't
had any problems since.
Hitachi makes a good drive, but the ones that fail seem to fail really bad. Western Digital seems to
make the best drives and they offer a very good warranty service as well.
I do buy broken ps3's so if you dont want to bother let me know!
