My system Amd processer and asus main board now i am newly connected lg dvd writter then system start boof failers and put any disk totally system hanged restart the system normalliy working when we put the cd or dvd not supported solution please ...
We likely have a "Jumper" issue here. On the back of the Drive right next to the Data cable there should be a group of jumper pins along with a general diagram or the jumper settings.
The diagram will likely be stamped in the metal next to the jumper group, or on the label.
The settings we are concerned with are CS (Cable Select), M (Master) and S (Slave)
First one I want you to try is CS move the jumper block to connect the pins for CS (If there is another drive on that cable, its jumper should be set to CS as well)
Now try to boot up again. If it works, you are good to go.
If not try the M setting on this drive. If it shares the cable the OTHER drive should be set to S this time.
Now try again. If still no luck reverse which is M and which is S
and try once more.
If ALL of these options fail, please post back here and we will try to assist you further.
