Iv recently upgraded my internet with virgin media to a faster broadband speed, the laptop connected perfectly before but now it connects but says limited or no internet connection. The wifi still works perfectly on all the other family laptops but not the nc6000. Help me please
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wirelessconnection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptopprobably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and thenclick Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless cardon the laptop.
I have tried this but unfortunately I receive the message that 'windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed.Renew your IP address.
In this case remove the power from the router wait for 30 secs then reconnect the power to the router. When all the LED lights on the router turn on and correctly displayed then boot up your laptop.
This should solve your problem. If not then you need to configure your wireless card in your laptop with the router's wireless settings.

Goto wifi settings of your Sony Ericsson X8 Android Mobile
press menu button and select "Advanced"
Disable the "Use Static IP" (please be confirmed that DHCP server runs on your router)

One of the things that I have seen that might fix this problem is running a program called winsock fix. What this does it reset/rebuild your network config on your laptop. You will need to download this program from the other computer and then take it to the laptop via thumbdrive/cd. Here is the link. Hope it helps.

I want too so here we go keep it away from the microwave LOL You may need to explain to me your isp provider because Like a house everyone has a door If it is a 802.11b you may need to get up too speed with 802.11g or 802.11n These are range based systems if you see lights on the router and internet is lit its works now you are there anywall between you and the router yes means rf interuption
like electrical or concrete walls (Bunker LOL) you need to look at the receiver on the laptop first start next to the router (PS make sure your the admin) establish connection and start walkin around or goto this site and Find what they didnt tell you.
