Graphix

I have a Dell Inspiron 600m, 2g of mem running WIN XP with Intel Inspiron M 1.8GHz processor. The vid card is the Mobility Radeon 9000. Now, my question is this. From default settings, the graphix card automaticly alocates some of the 2gig of mem I have installed and I would like to know if there is a way to up the ammount of mem it alocates to be dedicated to the Graphix card. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

- Ok, lets clarify a few things, I know that I cannot allocate the full 2gig of mem to the card. I am just wondering if anybody out there knows how I can allocate more of the 2gig to the card... say 512 of the mem. Right now it is at I believe only 64. Even if I could bump it up to 128 it would be a great improvment. I just dont want to pay out the keister to get an upgraded card and go through the pains of having to take my laptop apart yet again and replace it. Its a great card, but it just dose not have enough mem allocated to it. DARN Dell for making it so hard to tweak their systems. hahaha Anyhow, if any dell guru out there has an Idea please share.

- will, dude if you want some ratings that is cool... I have some myself but when it comes to dell... color me dumb lol I am a networking guy not a graphix card guy. I mean I can build a gaming tower from hell that will rock your toe socks, but when it comes to pre-built dell, stick-in-the mud. I jumped into the bios, no such luck on any kind of tweak for the graphix. Do you know of any great little tweaking programs for dell computers?

- I know there has to be a way to do it... it is just going to take some searching. Thanks for trying tho man.

Sorry, the card doesn't allocate 2GB of memory into it... It most likely has 256MB and that is on the card and cant be changed, but as its integrated in this laptop you can go into the setup / computer bios to see if you can change the amount of memory allocated for it.
