Does anyone know the carb. setting for a Homelite 45cc chainsaw. Or set up procedure??

Start 1.5 CCW from lighty seated then do as the link suggests.
Carburetor Adjustment by Madsens.com

CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.

There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full – may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too.

Saw will start will chock out, when chock is

Your symptoms indicate a lean condition. Check to be sure the muffler and/or spark arrestor are open and unobstructed. If all the parts are installed properly and your mixture screws are between 1.5 and 2 complete turns OUT, the saw may possibly have leaking crankshaft seals. The saw would need a pressure/vaccuum test at a repair shop to verify this.

How do I adjust carb on homelite b3850d chainsaw?

Should b 2 screws on side of carb. One is low speed adj and one is high speed adjust. Turn screws all the way in until they bottom, not too tight--turn them out 1 1/2 turns. Start saw and adjust the idle screw by turning in until it starts to sputter and turn out until is idles smooth same for hight speed only adjust at high speed

Runs but wont idle / Homelite330

Try adjusting the idle. The will be a couple adjustment screws, there will be an (H) and (L) you will need to turn the (L) First tighten the sdcrew completely then turn it 1-1/4 turns. This will be a good to start. Then just turn it small amounts until you get it to idle. Also there should be an idle adjustment you can adjust.

My homelite wont idle

When you pull the trigger on your saw lhile looking near the carb you will see the throttle plate moving back and forth as you pull it. The end of it usually rests against a screw with a spring. Screw the screw in some so the throttle doesn't come back so far.
