My samsung P2's memory isfull and it has no battery that I can't start it or charge it with the usb!! It shows the logo when I plug it in, but it just turns off a second later. I pushed the 'reset' button and nothing seems to work!!! Also, before this happened, it acted pretty weird like turning off for no reason and ****~ I bought it at best buy like 11 months ago.

The power cell should only get warm if you have it powered on all of the time. That is natural. 6 hours is short, and that may be one of two problems, the time of charge is too short, or the battery is dying. HINT! If you replace with a NEW battery; you must set the battery memory for the start. That means, when you first charge it, make certain it gets a long 24 hour charge to full. Use the phone until the device shuts down because the battery was exhausted. Now Do a full long term Charge. That process will set a Memory for the Power Cell and allow you to fully charge and discharge the battery from there on. One more thing...if you use a Charger Device, make certain it is working OK or else the Battery will not charge well.
battery can fully charged but if contacts of the tray are dirt than no current can pass through. firstly check contacts, switch showing that it is come out, after pushing it in, also check for polirities of batteries.
Hello lil ronaldo, It sounds like the internal battery pack may be failing. The rechargeable batteries commonly used in MP3 players last a long time but they do eventually fail and when that happens the battery will fail to properly hold a charge. It may come up to full voltage when you attempt to charge it but will quickly run out of power when removed from the charger. This sounds like what is happening based on your description. I would recommend contacting Samsung to get battery replacement service. You can call them at 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) or use their online service request tool. If the unit is outside of the original manufacturer's warranty there will probably be a charge for the service.

HEYY. okay. mine did the exact same thing but i took a toothpick and pressed the "reset" button on the back of the player. after i hit it once or twice, i tried turning it on and it worked.
I called tech support because i was having the same problem....on the back, there is a reset button (YP-P2JAR at least) you must hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then turn it on. Worked for me!
