Why does Paper keeps getting jammed in my v515w printer? I cleaned the print head and still having this problem!

You need to clean the paper feed rollers not the print head, use household rubbing alcohol.

How do I return a defective cartridge for a replacement?

Inkjet cartridges must be used at least once a week or else they dry out and cake the print heads. Try cleaning the print head if their software included a cleaning option. If not, then break out the Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. With very little alcohol on the tip, lightly brush the exposed metal on the print head only. Do not brush the metal contact points on the side. Only the bar like head which will be stained with ink. Once the head is cleaned make sure it is dry fully in the correct upright position before putting it back in.

Are the ink cartridges just a few copies, I have new copier and print is very faint

Hi,

You need to clean the print head and insert the cartridge and check, whether it is working at fine because a dirty printer header will not allow the right formulation of the basic cyan, magenta, and yellow to print and comes up with the yellow color and not red.
If you still face the problem after cleaning print head then you need to check for a clogged nozzle. Clean the nozzle and then try printing it will work fine now.
To clean the print head from the Utility section found in the printer driver, clean the print heads by performing a head cleaning followed by printing a nozzle check pattern. Furthermore, you can clean the print head by Using a cotton Q-Tip & Isopropyl Alcohol and gently rub the print head with alcohol.

Hope this helps.

If you still have any queries, please feel free to ask us.

My kodak 5300 printer is printing with streaks through the pages.. I have done a deep clean and basic clean as well as a calibration and nothing has helped. Any suggestions?

Hi

To resolve this issue you'll need to clean your printers cartridges. To clean it you'll need Q-Tip and alcohol. Turn off your printer and unplug it, now open the printer's front cover and take out the cartridges from their respective carriage. Now dip the Q-tip in alcohol and clean the cartridges with Q-tip. Also, clean the print head with Q-tip, use a paper towel if there is excessive ink inside the carriage.

Now let it dry and check if it is still giving similar issue. If yes then closely examine the print head for any kind of restiction like a piece of paper.

How do you clean print head?

have try to clean by software, HP software driver bundled a maintenance software to cleaning, if by software didn't work try this :
Remove print cartridge from printer. and then dip a cotton swab in hot water or isopropyl alcohol and rub it against the print head. This should loosen any crusted ink.
put your cartridge back to the printer then do clean with software again to make sure. see the result

Note :
Be careful, especially if you use isopropyl alcohol to clean your print heads: Some printers use rubber gaskets; if you get isopropyl alcohol on the gaskets, it could dry them out.

Canon Pixma MP750 prints blank pages but prints correct test page

Start by making sure your ink cartridges are full and the correct or recommended crtridges. If ok try routine maintenance by doing the following:
1. Clean your print head using denatured alcohol solvent which can be purchased from most hardware stores. If unavailable, use 91% Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol (first aid antiseptic) which is available for less than a dollar at most Walmart pharmacy departments.

*Warning: You may want to use a pair of latex exam gloves as this is a messy process and can stain your fingers.
Time necessary 45-50 minutes
Supplies needed:
Isopropyl Alcohol or denatured alcohol
paper towels
latex gloves
sink, bowls and or basin
can of compressed air
very small screw driver
tablespoon or baby bulb type syringe
warm water

PROCEDURE:
1. Lift print head from printer. It pulls out easily because it is held in with the same down lever that holds the cartridge in place.
2. Put two layers of paper towels in the bottom of a dish to protect sensitive sprayer heads.
3. Put enough solvent in dish to cover the screens on which the cartridges sit when in use.
4. Take the two small screws out that hold the white ceramic piece
5. Gently, pry the ceramic piece back and away , to reveal the underside (No need to pull away the glued points on the sides.)
6. Gently, move head up and down to slosh solvent around it the best as you can. Use a table spoon or syringe to pour solvent over all orifices in the print head, turning it upside down and then back a few times.
7. Use canned air with a plastic straw to blow into and through all orifices, alternately sloshing/swishing and pouring solvent over head (be careful not to touch any of the holes, screens, or sprayer heads with anything)
8. Empty dirty solvent from bowl and replace with paper towels and clean solvent. Soak for approx 10 minutes. Rinse again with clean solvent poured directly on all parts, letting solvent overrun and fall into dish or basin.
9. Gently shake the solvent off the head, take it outside and spray with compressed air into all orifices to clear out and help evaporate any remaining solvent. Let sit on a clean paper towel for approx 20 minutes. (There may be a little ink bleeding out of the head, but once it dries completely it does not present any problems.
10. Reinstall head, cartridges and it will print like a new printer.

Changed both cartriges and still poor quality prints

In general, after years of use, gunk accumulates in the holder where the ink cartridges rests when not in use. Then this gunk attaches to the print head clogging it. This causes streaks across the paper and poor print quality.
Also, print heads wear out after time. Cartridges should only be refilled a few times before being replaced with new.
First. Use alcohol, and try to clean out the holder where the cartridge rests when not in use. It may be a little hard to get to. Use Q-Tips, paper towels, cotton balls, whatever works for you.
Second. Clean the print heads themselves. Using a paper towel, wet with alcohol, wipe he print heads on the cartridges gently. Also gently clean the contacts and allow them to dry.
Third. As a last resort, only if the first two suggestions don't help. Hold the print heads under hot running water for 30 seconds, then blot on a paper towel to day. Try to keep the contacts as dry as possible, if they do get wet (and they probably will), allow them to dry before re installing the cartridge.
Lastly, try new (not re-manufactured or refilled) cartridges.

Canon MX700 will not print black. All setting have been set back to default, all ink cartridges are registered as adequate. All maintenance features have been excercised and look ok, but can not print...

I've had this exact problem! You will need regular rubbing alcohol and some q-tips and some canned air (if you've got it handy since it's kinda expensive). Remove all of your print cartridges and then remove the print head. Turn the print head upside down and clean back and forth with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. Don't use the same q-tip too much, if one gets icky after a few passes, use a clean one. Then, while your cover is still up, run a clean q-tip dipped in alcohol over the gold prongs that the print head sits next to. Be careful, the prongs will "pull out" the q-tip so pass over them gently. Spray the connections with canned air, making sure there are no loose fibers around. I sprayed the whole inside. After I did exactly all of this, it worked-PERFECTLY. I have no idea which little step worked. Good luck!!

CANON MP830 all in one is sayin" the type of printhead is incorrectn Install the correct Printhead."

Hi follow the instructions as above...
ie Remove inks and print head...

But instead...
Whilst Canon print head is out...

Use cotton wool and alcohol and clean electrical contacts on back of print head and where they make contact inside printer.

Then install print head and inks and test.

If it does not work you may need to replace print head.
