Sounds like you need a new power supply. If you have the make and model of the PC I can help you with the replacement.

Unplug it and try holding in the power button for up to 60 seconds to discharge it. Try turning it on. You may have to hold the power button if for a few seconds when you turn it on. If it still doesn't work you may need a new power supply.

HI NEED HELP? TV WONT TURN ON?

Unplug the power cord from your TV. Wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Plug the power cord into a different power outlet or power strip. If possible, try a different TV power cord.

I shut the power off and now the xbox wont turn on. i tried to plug it in to a different plug in and there was smoke. just wondering if it is fried

Your power cord may be damaged. Unplug the cord from the back of the Xbox and the wall of course. Examine it to see if it is damaged. If there is damage from sparking you should get a new cord. You might also try using a different power cord (from a friend or in a video game store) to make sure the console is ok.

Brother MFC 250C has no power and will not turn on. The power cord is plugged in and turned on but yet there's power to it?

For general troubleshoot of any no power device is always just:
Try a different power cord (these cords are all the same, you can use a standard computer cord)
Try a different power outlet (no surge protector, direct to wall to a known working outlet)

If it still gets no power at all the the power supply has probably gone bad and will need to be replaced.
If the machine is out of warranty however the cost to repair it will probably be more than the cost of replacing the unit with a new one.

Your best bet would be to call around your local printer repair shops and see if they have any of these models on hand as spare part donor machines.

I cannot turn it on...when I use the same cord on other printer/scanner, the cord is still okay..so this means that the problem is on the printer/scanner....kindly advise what to do....

Since the power cord works on a different scanner, this means the power supply unit inside the printer has failed. In most cases, this costs more to fix/repair than a new printer.

Will not turn on even tho plugged in

Try a different power cord or test the power cord on a different piece of equipment.
If it still does not work then the printer has a power supply problem and needs to be repaired or scrapped. A new printer may be a better cost effective solution.
Unless you have electrical knowledge I suggest you do not try to fix mains powered equipment. Mains voltage is dangerous.

Tower switch dose not turn on.i took out power wire from the wall plug when i went to trip 5 weeks ago

Make sure the power cord is securly plugged into the Power Supply Unit in the back of the PC and also in the wall outlet. Look for a switch by the cord plug on the pc that will have a straight line and a circle on it. Make sure it's switched to the ON position (straight line). Try and turn on your pc.

If this does not work still, try a different AC outlet on another wall or in another room. Also try a different power cord for the PC. If none of these work and your machine will still not start up or you don't hear any fans going when you press the button, it might be a bad Power Supply Unit (PSU). I have seen PSU's blow out just by plugging or unplugging the power cord because it can create a spark. If you have a bad PSU, you will need to contact someone local to replace it or you can take your unit to a Best Buy or local computer store and have them give you a price on a new PSU.
