my front loading washer is displaying F DL
my washer flashes h f..any idea what that means??

- I have a Kenmore front load HE, I am getting the same error first the F then DL flash one after the other, after I have attempted to start the machine.I read the first response and I am not sure where the pump is that you mentioned.
It did this a weekago or so but I unpluged the machine for a few to try and reset it and it did work after that, but now It just keeps kinda clicking like it is trying to start then it will start to flash and beep the F/DL. Please help my last Kenmore washer lasted 12 years no issues this I have owned for 4!!!!

if that is a kenmore or whirlpool after checking all hoses and screens and cleaning pump suspect the flowmeter ..remove top small round thing left side with 2 small hoses attached also possible water level switch on right side but still most likely flow meter
