Hello,

if your left mouse button is broken, its best to buy a whole new mouse, they don't cost alot.
In some cases it might be possible to fix the mouse if the button inside is still OK, assuming only the case of the mouse is broken, and the internals are fine.

Thank you,
I will fix it!!

Right hand speaker has no sound

That speaker is probably broken. But to be sure it's not an audio setting that is off, try this.

Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound and open it. Adjust the Wave Balance by making sure it is in the middle. If it is to the left or right one of the speakers will not have sound.

You can also get to the audio sound properties by clicking on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time.

To make sure the speaker is not broken just plug it up to another computer.

There is a Wizard in XP for this, which may assist.

- left click the Start button, right click on Internet Explorer
- left click the Connections Tab, then the Setup button
- left click the Next button, then choose "Connect to the Internet", then Next
- Choose the option to "Set up my connection manually, " then left click the "Next" button.
- Choose the option to "Connect using a broadband connection that is always on, " or other choice if more appropriate, then left click the "Next" button

My cdrom went bad....replaced with another one just like it and it will not detect it. The light on Cdrom comes on and I can open and close it,, but my pc will not detect it. Thanks for your help.

Hi:
1. make sure your new CDRom jumpers are set up correctly, if the new CDRom is EXACTLY the same like the old one (speed, mfg, model, etc) then make sure the jumbers are set the same way. if it is different then see what the old one is set for (master, slave, cableselect) and set the new one with the same setting.
2. make sure the cable is connected proberly and is in good condetion, if broken then replace
3. enter the bios setup to see if the CDRom is detected. (let me know if you can't do that)
4. there maybe a problem with your main board, try using another connection, maybe share the same cable for the HDD

When turning on computer, I only get a black screen with white flashing line in the upper left corner.

Maybe the operating system has broken, have you tried to reinstall your OS? If you use Windows, try to find Windows installer CD, and make sure that the installer have autorun application. Insert the CD and let it run by it self, just wait and click OK or Next. If this is OS problem, this way should work.
Hope this help.

How do i turn on a microphone on my computer

Hi,try right clicking on the little speaker near the clock (bottom right corner of your desk top) Look for Recording Devices,if its there, left click it.A window should open, select the type of microphone you have pluged in ie.Realtek High Definition Audio.
Left click Microphone once, then left click configure (bottom left corner) A new window should pop up,left click Set up microphone, slect headset or desktop microphone and click next. You should get a Microphone setup wizard, just click the next button,at this point you should be speaking into your mic, read the line in a normal voice.click next, click the finish button.I hope this has helped, here is a web link to some support documentation for your system
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx260/en/index.htm
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx260/en/ug/solvprob.htm#1166377
Another way to get to your sound settings.
Open Control Panel and look for Hardware and Sound.Left click it,under the heading Sound look for Manage audio devices and left click that.A window will open called Sound,in the tabs look for Recording and left click that.Select Microphone (left click once) and left click configure, bottom left.A new window opens, left click Set up microphone.Left click Headset or Desktop Microphone and click next, click next again, now read the lines in a normal voice and click next when done. Now click Finished.Thats it your done.Hope this has helped, don't forget to rate

Need the driver for the video card (asus-eax300le-a334c rev 1.01)

What O/S are you using? (Operating System. Windows XP is one example of an O/S)

This is Asus Support, and the Downloads page,

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

On this page go to the right to the heading - General Download
Under this heading you will see three long boxes.

The first box states - Select Product
Go to the far Right of the box, left-click on the blue down arrow.

In the drop down list left-click on - Graphic Card

Go down to the next box, Select Series.
Left-click on the blue down arrow to the far right of the box.

In the drop down list left-click on ATi Series.

Go down to the next box, Select Models, and left-click on it's blue down arrow.
Scroll the list down to - EAX300 Series, and left-click on it.

Now left-click on Search, in the green box.

The page will 'gray out', and there will be a small window that pops up.
Please select your operating system.

Go down to the box with - Select OS, in it.
Left-click on the blue down arrow to the right of the box.

In the drop down list left-click on the O/S you are using.

I'm going to choose WinXP for an example. (Windows XP. Doesn't matter if it's the Home Edition, or the Pro Edition)

Left-click on Search.

Left-click on the + sign to the left of VGA.
There are 5 files shown.
My advice would be to choose the latest one.

This is the file on top.
Version 8.592

Go to the right of the heading - Download from
Left-click on - Global (DLM)

In the small box that pops up, type the letter/numbers that you see, into the box.
NOTE*
If you see letters, be Sure to type capital letters!

Left-click on Submit.
Your driver download will begin.

Try this, If you have an external mouse port, attach another mouse, reboot laptop. If mouse works, depends on operating system? Goto control panel, mouse icon and see if you might have diabled or changed mouse key to use the right key?
