The CD is part of TomTom package, check in the documentation the list of items that should have been in the box, if the CD is missing go back to W.H. Smith and get a replacement with all accessories.

G'day mate

If you go back to D!ck Smith, they will be able to fx you up with the disc, and give you some straight up pointers on how to load up the map. If you look at them the right way... they may even do it for you then and there so you know how to do it for when a new map comes out.

    Installation of TomTom HOME

When you insert the DVD into your computer, TT6 will “Auto Launch” and begin installing TomTom HOME. I’ve enclosed the screen shots you’ll see when you install the application. Pretty basic stuff.

Step 1: Select your default language.

    Step 2: Installation information

Step 3: Confirmation on where you live. I chose "Yes".

Step 4: Agree the EULA. Note that TT6 is licensed to a DEVICE, not an owner. Consequently, if you own 5 devices but you only purchased one Product Code (i.e., one software package), you will only be able to activate TomTom 6 on ONE of your devices. I’ll talk more about this in a future blog (Part 6: Installation of TomTom on your PDA).

Step 5: Chose an installation directory. I used the default.

    Step 6: Install TomTom HOME.

    Step 7: Installing...

Step 8: Ok. Now we’re finished installing the program. Let’s launch TomTom HOME!

Tomtom One

hi ! I had the same problem. My TOMTOM version was too old to connect to the new TOMTOM 'Home' software . Contact TOMTOM support and they will give you a link to the older version of TOMTOM Home where you can update your TOMTOM version which will then be able to connect to the newer version on Home , and then link ok to your computer.
Best of luck !
