Extension indicator lights not working

I have 2 of my 8 phones where the extension indicator light does not light up when they are on the phone. How do I fix this. Thanks.

    Thanks. I did all that, and still no go! These 2 extensions don't see any other extension lit up while in use. The other 6 phones all light up for every extension that is in use. A couple of days ago I went through all the phones and re-programmed the Intercom for all extensions. Any other thoughts?

    The interesting thing is that before I re-programmed them, they were working fine. They were programmed for Intercom to the extensions. The only thing I changed was the extension numbers assigned to them (basically I re-organized them).

    I believe they are all hardware ports, as there is no voicemail set up here.

Walk up to the phone, press FEAT 00 press the button you want to program then press INTERCOM and dial the 2 digit extension or * + 2 digit if you want Voice signalling. Do this for all the buttons you want to program and end with FEAT 00.

    What is under the buttons now? It may be that the buttons are assigned in Centralized programming to another function that cannot be overridden in station programming.

    Extension numbers come from hardware ports. Did you reorganize them from former voice mail ports?

Light indicating an extension is in use not lit up
The light is either not programmed, or the extension is disconnected.
In the first case, press PROG the button and dial 1 plus the extension number and ENTER. In the second case, the digital phone has to be in place and idle before the light will go out.

What was 2? Extensions are put in with a 1. The 2 is used for internal or speed dial calls (as in 29 plus a number gets you speed dial).

If you assign a digital station that is not in service to a button, you will get a busy light.

The user may have brushed onto the 62x commands to change or turn off message notification. From the subcriber's mailbox, choose option 621 and make sure it's enabled, then 622 and make sure you're using option 2. (continuous). If neither of these work, have the owner log into mailbox 999 and make sure that the owner's extension of the broken extension matches the extension. That's option 611 mailbox number and follow the prompts. The extension is the mailbox.

Programming a one touch button for extensions in the office is done by entering feature *2 pressing the button you wish to program and entering the extension number. The programming is done on a set by set basis.

I am tring to figure out how to program extensions on our kx-t7737 phone.
A 773x phone has 24 buttons, 12 are lighted and 12 are Feature. If you want to reassign some of the lighted buttons as extension buttons on the phone, you can press PROGRAM 1 + ext no STORE and that will give you a busy indication whenever that extension is off hook.

You can program the right side buttons to speed dial the extensions by just pressing PROGRAM ext no STORE. It will dial the extension when you press it if you have intercom dial tone.

How the button behaves is dependent on which system the phone is attached to. In a TA, you have to start with dial tone on the intercom. In a TAW/TDA you don't.

Lucent Partner 34D phone system with 18D extensions
That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

Extension Lights Don't Light Up
When you programmed them, did you press PROG the button 1 plus the ext, or did you use 2? The digit 1 makes it a DSS button, 2 a speed dial.

I need to silence an extension on the lucent 18d telephone
From ext. 10 or 11, press Feature 00, left intercom (twice), right intercom (once), Dial ext. number of boss' phone. Lights on the line button will indicate ringing state for that line:
Green light - Immediate ring
Fast Flutter Green light - No ring
Slow Flashing Green light - Delayed ring
Press each line key until Fast Flutter Green light appears.
Press Feature 00 to exit programming.

No Light to show off hook
Start by going to the phones that need to have the button fixed.
Press:
[Program], [9][9], [Button] (you should see an incorrect ext number), [2], [Correct ext number] and [Store]
You may need to repeat this at all phones that need the corrected light.
