You are probably low on black ink as the streets are usually printed in black, if you open up your printer while it is on the print cartridge will move and you can see were it points too. I find that sometimes the cartridge gets plugged up and you need to wipe the bottom of it with a wet cloth and then it works again also give it a shake but make sure you hold onto the bottom or the ink will spray as I found out lol. Also after you do this turn the printer off and on again. You may have to do this a couple times but it finally worked for me! hope this helps.

Try reseating the color cartridge and cofirming that the blue/green tape was completely removed from the back and bottom of the cartridge. Run a head cleaning and if that doesnt correct it then you may have a bad ink cartridge. It is possible that the printer is bad but I find that unlikely.
When you bring up your directions in mapquest, under the red "MapQuest" logo in the upper lefthand corner there are these options:

Click on the "Print" option and a printer-friendly version will appear. You can choose "text and map" or "text only," then click on print and your printer options box will appear.
