I have the same problem, and the changing the mouse does not help. I can get it work if I get it out, put it on a plastic surface, connect it to the supply, and short-circuit the power switch, but the next time it freezes, it starts it all over again. The company I bought it from says they tested it, and it ran fine.
    Please help...

Hello tccat1,

Definitley sounds like a bad motherboard, however, try removing the memory and using a different stick if you have some. Maybe 512 see if you can at least get it to post.

I have a MSI K9MM-V(MS-7312) mother board installed running on MS XP Professional, I wanted to temporarily boot from my CD/DVD drive how do I accomplish this?

Hi,
Just go to bios setup, click "delete" or "F2" when the system started to boot up, go to boot set up and select "cd rom drive" first boot, save on exit. It restart w/ the cd rom drive first.
Hope that helps you out.

Cpu lead lights on but no display in monitor

check the RAM condition, For that remove the RAM from mother board and clean the two side of RAM contact terminals wiping with the eraser and insert it again into the mother board.

if you have using more than one ram just remove both the RAMs reinsert one by one after cleaning the RAMs one by one .

I have 1 gig ram added 2gig of ram to my P5VDC-MX mother board.

Your system might only be able to recognise 2gb of RAM. Tiger Direct has a RAM finder for almost every computer. Check it out to see if you have too much.

K8 Neo-2 V-2.0

Please connect jPw1 to 4 Pin 12v, this supplies power to CPU. Than enter Bios & find Boot settings. Set the cdrom as boot 1 & hd as boot 2. Check the jumper on the cdrom, as it is the only device on secondary IDE controller it should be set as a master.
It is better to install a fresh copy of windows with a new motherboard. Put your windows CD in the cdrom & the system will boot to it. And your on your way. You can install the drivers for the board after windows has been installed.
Enjoy!
