TV does not respond to Remote (by 6 users)

I have a Toshiba 32AF43 of 32". Became having trouble with remote control, I replaced batteries and even got a new remote of same model. By now, just sometimes respond, but so many others does not respond to Remote Control. Does anybody knows what to do? thanks.

TV responds to physical hand control but will not respond to remote control .Model type is 36HF71.

My remote has stopped as well. Is taking the shell off easy?? Anything I need to know before I attampt it?

Have had same problem since new. They sent me new one that one was no better.

My Toshiba and Tivo remotes have stopped responding to Toshiba 32af43 after working fine for years. Cannot even bring up the Toshiba menu.

What is a RF LED? Can it be fixed.

Correction...solder bad connects on IR DETECTOR LED =
Infra-red detector light-emitting diode...located on front edge
of circuit board...if soldering does not fix,replace LED.....I can
provide part number.............................T.

possible defective rf receiver led defective in the tv.

Dear Mr.yeye,
There seems to be a problem with the IR LED of your television. solder the connections if any of them is cut. Also there can be loose connections. its better to contact the retailer from whom you purchased this tv
