Hey. I hate my printer. I have just purchased a set of ink cartridges (that I checked are compatable with the printer) due to the fact that it said that it didnt recognise the ones in it - fair enough they had been there for quite a while and i thought that may have been the reason. So I put the new ones in this evening and i printed 4 pictures and now it is rejecting them again. Any help? Thanks
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

There may be a problem with the newly purchased black cartridge.Try with another one,if it works then reurn the faulty to the purchased shop for replacement. If all won't help check with the auhorized service centre for problems.
This normally happens if it is a generic ink cartridges. If your printer does not print be sure to select, I have installed new ink or some-thing to that effect when the sign pops up. In the software that came with your printer, try setting to, have replaced ink cartridges. Do you get flashing light alternatively? If so this indicates that the waste ink tanks are full and either need to be replaced or cleaned. You can do it or it can be done by technician called a service! If you do it you would take the printer apart to get to the waste ink sponges. Then remove them and clean out the ink with water, use disposable gloves. Dry them, reinstall, reassemble the printer and reset the ink counters. This is complected enough when dealing with an ink-jet printer, your printer is all in one so I would assume it to be a more complected task.
Above was for additional help! Best en-quire to make sure that the ink you purchased, will work in your printer, phone shops etc...
Hope this gets you printing again!
It sounds like you have incompatible cartridges for your printer... Some folks have reported that disabling the Status monitor and turning the printer off/on, plus rebooting the computer can solve this but that's just something I've heard.
You may want to double check with the ink supplier that they have provided the correct cartridges for your DX rather than a CX model.
on the ink cartridges there should be a little gold chip on them if they dont have that then your printer will not recognise the ink my best bet for you is to buy cheep and reliable placement epson ink or you can buy these ink cartriges which have tubes which feed ink into these replacement cartridges and i have got one of these my self and i would recomend these to anyone
Sorry Desperate. All inkjet printers, from all companies, are programed to only operate with ink in all containers to avoid other problems. Their is no workaround. Please rate me not harshly just because you don't like the answer. Rate based upon the truth of an answer.
