T3116 Replaced cartridge on Tally T3116 and received the following error " stop, do not transport. I am verifying that the cartidge is a valid OEM cartirdge and positioned correctly. Can anyone offer any further assistance?

Sometimes you need to install a new NOT REFILLED cartridge for a few minutes or page printings to get the system to accept that the cartridge has been changed ie replaced with the manufacturers NEW part and then the refilled one will work just fine. It is a way to force purchase of OEM cartidges.

Here is your solution.
1. If your replace only one cartridge follow the step. = Press Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds............. after that your printer will start its process. 2. If your replace both cartridge follow the step: = Press Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds ............ after 5 seconds wait for few seconds. Your printer will show the same error, so press for 5 seconds again.... thanks

Turn the printer off, take out the cartridges, turn the printer on, reinstall cartridges. Printer reads cartridges as new.

Why this happens? I don't know if the rumors are true but check out this website and you'll find out.

so definitely pg-50 will not fit. i suggest if its still in warranty, try to ask for a replacement.

Dumb question. Did you pull the strip from the toner cartidge? OEM or aftermarket? I would try the old cartidge and see if it changes if you don't have the old cartridge anymore I would contemplate replacing the one you just purchased or taking it back to where you purchased it and get an exchange for a defective cartridge.

remove the cartidge from the printer and clean up the bronze dotted spots on the cartidge as well as the place where the cartidge is placed inside the printer... then turn on your printer it will ask you to insert the cartidges .....
hope it will owrk for you if does not you may try another cartidge if does not work either its time to call the Manufacturer and get the printer replaced....

My printer quit printing blue after I cleaned the print heads. What can I do? I tried recharging the cyan cartridge and cleaning the print heads again. it's still not working! GRR!!

If it responds ok with the old cartridge then the problem is with the cartridges' chip not the printer. Probably the manufactor has a problem with certain cartridge chip (contact them!). I would suggest to use the original at the problematic spot if it works without a problem.

The MP600 does not use the 40 or 41 cartridges, it uses individual color (and black) ink tanks. But other models (MP190, MP460, MP470, etc) do use these cartridges. The error message you are receiving indicates that the printer does not recognize the cartridge you installed as a valid black ink cartridge. This can mean that either the cartridge is faulty, or that the printer has a problem.
I would suggest trying another new cartridge, and if you still get the same error, to contact Canon for support options if the unit is still in warranty.
