Question about Haier HVF060A Wine Cooler

Water leaking from unit

Started a couple of days ago, water has been seeping from under the unit. I checked inside and found that the bottles of wines are also wet. The inside back metal plate is also wet. The motor is still running and the unit is still keeping the temperature. What could be the problem? Thanks for the help.

Re: Water leaking from unit

It may be the drain line is not dripping into the catch bucket under the back side, visually check to see if the line is reaching into the bucket and that it's not clogged up on the inside of the unit floor. The back panel being wet may just be condensation in between cooling cycles as the frost melts. If the unit is OK with keeping temps the refrigerant charge is likely OK.

Beeping will not stop on wine cooler - red wine side

Beeping usually indicates that something has gone wrong. Probably not cooling properly. The water coming out would indicate that the unit has defrosted. Turn the unit back on again and see if the red side is cooling properly. Some wine fridges have independent evaporators which allows different cooling temps in different parts of the cabinet.

Edgestar wine cooler blowing fuse on the left side circuit board

If you have replaced the circuit boards it's probably associated with a wiring short circuit or compressor failure. Suggest you get a professional technician to further investigate the fault. In the interim check for a short to the frame of the unit, an internal light or for moisture issues or a condensation issue from water.

Our kenmore wine cooler started leaking water all over the floor.

I don't know how it is leaking water, it isn't hooked up to a water supply. better start looking for the actual source of the water

It leaks water from underneath

It is not really leaking water (did you put water inside?) ... that is probably condensate ... a by product of the cooling process. Are you in a high humidity area? If yes ... that is the primary reason for this water.

Here in North America, we think that only white wine should be chilled and then only to 'celler' temp (or about 55 degrees F.

You may be able to reduce the water problem if

(1) up the temp in the cooler (it isn't a refrigerator - don't use it as one)
(2) don't put 'hot' wine inside
(3) put a small fan blowing on the cooler to help evaporate the condensate.

If the water is a big problem, sit your frig on a big tray, similar to the one you might put under your car in the garge to catch dripping oil.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful.

Ice build-up on GE ZDW24A wine cooler cooling coil

Probably the thermostat is bad , you can bypass it by putting together the two wires from the thermostat and if the unit starts working ,replace the thermostat ;only do this if you havesome knowledge of electrical work and be very carefull.

Haier Wine Cooler motor died

Yes, those motors shoudl be pretty standard stock items at any local appliance parts supply house found in the yellow pages.

You might also try lookinmg under "motors and controls" in the yellow pages. If you get it locally like that then you can physically compatre the old one with the new one to make sure it is indeed the same part.

Thats better than an online link with just pictures.

U-line 75WC wine cooler - rust on inside back wall

This happens when the racks get too close to the evaporator. Or bottles. You can try to use hot water but usually you will need to buy new racks for the unit.

Danby wine chiller

I found the solution to my case. The continuous compressor running problem started a few days after we moved the unit from a hardwood floor to a room where it is on a carpet. For some reason, this caused some sort of freeze up. I solved the issue by raising the unit about 1/2" using a couple of boards I had and placing them under the legs. Now I need to figure out a bit more visually pleasing solution, but raising it up cured my freezing problem.
