Sony wega power on and off instantly, the screen told me bulb ending life, relpaced bulb with housing, but nothing has changed, you can hear it click on and off before it had a chance to turn on?

Most common resolution to this is to replace the lamp. When nearing the end of life cycle for the lamp, it will either warn you with a "Low Lamp Life" on the display or cycle power on/off. Replace the lamp and the problem should stop. Other possibility AFTER you replace the lamp and have the same issue is the ballast board. Not as common, but it happens. Your lamp has a life cycle of approx. 6000 hours, give or take. Replace with ONLY the Phillips factory bulb. It should be The XL-2200 and can be found on EBAY Google Shopping etc. for anywhere from 120.00 for just the lamp to 190.00 for lamp and housing. It's easy to replace and comes with instructions. my friend have a tech check your tv dont waste anytime your tv is having problems in the power circuit or in the Horizontal circuit or probably there is some cold solder in the power supply circuit.this should be checked out for repairs.good luck.

Yes,if "LAMP" LED light indication front bazel panel,flashes or stay on.The projection lamp life is over.Require changing a new projection lamp.But if u also hearing clickings sound too?The board call Ballast board also dead.This Ballast board help to ignite the projection lamp.If a power supply board problems,only power light LED indication will flashes.

Bulb is most likely OK. Original bulb in Sony TV is Philips, label on bulb usually says Philips. Sony don't make bulbs. Sony Cost is usually 1.5 times other sources. Many shopping cart operations sell condemned, reject or poor quality electronic service items because cost of return and fooling with them is excessive. This is obvious and widespread with convergence ICs and other parts.

Lamp timer needs reset. This is usually an automatic function. TV detects Increased lamp current from previous failed bulb or weak bulb condition and resets automatically. TV must be unplugged for lamp replacement for this to work. Occasionally it must be reset manually, as below:

1. TV must be in standby mode. (Power off).
2. Press the following buttons on the Remote Commander within a
second of each other:
DISPLAY Channel 5 Volume + POWER .1. Access Service Adjustment Mode and select the Service Menu that
contains the Category with the Adjustment Item you want to change.
2. To change the Category, press 2 or 5 on the Remote Commander.
Note: Pressing 2 or 5 only changes the categories within the
Service Menu displayed. To change a Category on one of the other
Service Menus, press the JUMP button until the correct Service
Menu is displayed.
3. To change the Adjustment Item, press 1 or 4 on the Remote
Commander.
4. To change the Data Value, press 3 or 6 on the Remote
Commander.
Note: To go back to the last saved Data Value, press 0 then ENT
on the Remote Commander to read the memory.
5. To save the changes, press MUTING then ENT to write into
memory.
6. To exit service mode, turn the power off by pressing POWER .
Wait 2 minutes before restarting the set to allow the fans to
completely shut down or the Service Menu will appear on the screen.

Ok, you can buy the bulb separately and it will save you money. I will have to warn that , installing this bare bulb will be tricky and you can not touch this bulb with your bare hands. it will damage it. Other than that, it is possible to purchase the bare bulb alone. i will post a link to your replacement bulb without the housing below.

If the housing of the door comes open you will lose the sound and picture almost instantly. Have you replaced your lamp in this tv it sounds like the life on your lamp is coming to an end.
