Problem for GoVideo DP8240 Portable DVD Player with Screen

Screen displays "Error data" when trying to play a DVD

My daughter used the portable DVD player for a few weeks. One day, I came home and it had stopped playing DVDs. It plays CD's fine, as well as playing an external video input. I've tried a CD lens cleaner, which seemed to work fine (since it plays CD's still), but still no DVD. I've tried resetting the settings to default with no change. Any ideas?
