Re: hotpoint wma48 wahing machine will not pump out water
It does have a filter but its in an awkward place. first remove the access panel at back of machine. To the right you will see the pump. Follow the pipe from pump to drum and you will notice that its much bigger where it meets the drum. remove pipe at this end and its there.best to take machine outside first.

Power off the mains.The
filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at
bottom.Four screws hold it on.Drain
out all the water. The filter is inside
the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum.
the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip
holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big
which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To
put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball
into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir
Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic
clip.Check out the pump too before reconnecting.
Probably a blocked filter.
Remove the lower rear panel of washer.
Remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the plastic filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here.
This should solve the problem.
Make sure the rinse hold button has not been selected, deselect if it is, possible pump blockage
There is a filter located in the sump hose at the rear of the m/c.
Remove lower rear panel and undo large hose onto drum , filter inside there, remove and clean if neccessary.
Make sure nothing is stuck inside pump, try a drain only prog and you should be able tohear and see if oump is working BE CAREFUL.
firstly you will need to take out the soap drawer and thoroughly clean it and the spray holes that are above the soap drawer. secondly i would reduce the cold water pressure to a fast trickle/jet that way it will not be spraying all over the place.
the filter sounds as though it will need cleaning out. unplug machine, from the rear is a metal plate, remove it to gain access to the bottom hose-this incorperates the filter. undo secure jubilee clip and lower hose. remove debris and check the hose and pump for further obstructions. you should be ok after that. try to beat out the dog blankets outside b4 washing to remove as many hairs as poss. tone.
