Re: cant hear from headset
well that was a mistake you did when u install the lg recovery disk
still you can contact the hp people and they will be able to send you the recovery ...
dont tell them what you have done ... just tell them u the recovery disk is not working and tell them that u are facing issue which u were facing when u tried the lg disk ....
byt the end of the call demand for a recovery disk ...
if the agent doesnt agree sending it ... ask for the suppervisor

That error means that the Boot Manager is Missing. This is
usualy caused by either a failed hard drive, or a failed attempt at
recovery. If you try to do a recovery and then suddenly halt the
process, weather on purpose or due to somthing like power failure, then
the first bit of the Recovery boot process, the BTMNGR, can be hosed. If
this happens then your only option is to order recovery disks from the
manufacturer and install the OS that way.
You might boot into bios (F10 on startup) and do a hard drive self test first to make sure you dont have a hard drive problem...
try disconnecting the drive and reseating it first.
If you enter the bios (f10 on startup) does the computer even detect the drive? If not - try reseating it - don't forget to power off first
Failing that try the hp recovery partition
1 Press the power button to start the HP. Press and hold the F11 key to launch the HP Recovery Manager from the recovery partition. 2 Backup any files you want to save. Follow the HP Recovery Manager instructions to save any important files before continuing with the recovery process. 3 Continue the recovery process. After backing up files to an external device or CD/DVDs, select the option to perform a system recovery. 4 Obtain and install updates for the HP. After your system reboots, use HP update manager as well as Windows update to restore all critical updates to your HP computer. 5 Make a set of recovery disks. Use HP Recovery Manager and select "Advanced Options" to create a set of recovery disks that can be used in the event that your HP cannot access the hard drive.
I recommend you to perform an HDD self test so we can understand if you have a faulty HDD or just a Software problem caused by any windows update or virus that might have corrupted your windows boot file.
For performing an HDD self test you should turn on the unit and when HP invent logo appears press " ESC " key, then you will have access to other menu where you should select option " F2 - System Diagnostics" and then " F4 - Hard disk Test" . After process finishes it will provide you a message with " success" or #xx Fail".
You need a new hard drive and install fresh windows operating system. Maybe after that you can try to put your old hard drive to external enclosure hard drive and try to recover your computer will recognize the hard drive. Hope this helps,
beware before you using disk recovery which bundled your laptop, it will causing your data in HD would be lost. 11.2GB is allocated for pre-installing OS, don't del or format it..if you wont repartition, u can using disk manager that included in your OS by typing compmgmt.msc in run menu
you can try "get data back software" in internet or data recovery.
When you turn it on, watch the screen carefully. Many times recovery is contained on a small partition of your hard drive. When your computer begins booting, watch for a short message that says something like, "For recovery press F11". It could be another F key. You will only get a couple seconds to choose it. Choose an option that does a full restore which will reformat the drive.
HOPE IS NOT LOST
first find a windows vista 32 bit os system cd and then u must install the system after that u must go on the net to recover your drivers for the laptop note... your recent files would be lost but your computer would be running again and plzzzz also create a back up on a dvd disk if happens to u again good luck rate this solution....
