Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer won't turn on

I was just using my printer yesterday and everything is fine. (I've only been using it for about three weeks now). Today it will not turn on. It does not seem to be a problem with the power supply because the light on the cable goes on and off when plugged/unplugged. I was wondering if other people have had problems like this. Is there anything I can try doing at home?
The printer is no longer under warranty, I've been storing it for over a year and just recently pulled it out to use.

    power cycles on and off. i found that by holding the power button down for an extended time i could get an error message to appear that said something to the extent that i should use the power button to turn off the printer instead of unplugging it. i have never unplugged it to turn it off. after getting this message, i pressed ok to continue. it took several times to finally get the printer back to working. however, it started the same thing today and i am not able to get it working now.

Its the problem in the main board of the printer.
as u said the light in the poer supply goes on/off still replace the cord and check if it is the same then its definately the board problem

The black ink on my Brother DCP-130C won't print and it's a brand new ink cartridge. I thought it was a defected cartridge so I bought another one, same thing. The other 3 colours print ok though....


I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

My Dell V505 printer won't print documents from the computer, when I press print the printer prints a page of dash's and ticks. there is ink in the cartridges. i've disconnected the power....


Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power.

On your computer, click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Select the Dell Printer
Uninstall it
Restart your computer
Turn the printer on
Allow the computer to reinstall the device-device for the printer.
Print a test page.

X75 My color won't work. Black is fine. I installed a new one at Xmas and it worked fine. I hardly printed anything.. Yesterday the test page with peacock showed no blue and everything came out yellow. ...


run the print head cleaner tool using the lexmark software. since you hardly used the color the print head nozzle is dried up and needs to be clean.
run the print head cleaner atleast 5-10 or more times as needed.

I have the Kodak 5300 All in one easy share printer. Less than a yr old. Also a Del computer with Vista Operating system, Less than a yr old. About a week ago decided to take the time to learn the kodak...


try using the system restore option on Dell computer.........as you have vista,,,click on the start button and type system restore in start search box and follow the on screen instructions and select yesterday's date and proceed.......should help:)

Printer reads RIGHT CARTRIDGE INCORRECT


If you have purchased the cartridges directly from dell , it will be covered under warranty for 2 years for hardware errors and you can call dell on 1800 624 9896 and get the cartridge replaced , even after the replacement of the cartridges if you have the similar issue then its an issue with the printer and needs to be replaced.

Will not print


Try using the 'clean cartridge' setting with your printer, this usually forces the ink through the installed cartridges.
