HP color LaserJet 2600n stucked on Initialzing

My HP color LaserJet 2600n has been stuck on Initializing for hours. I've tried to reset it to factory settings, turning it off and on, disconnecting it, re-installing the drivers, and still read Initializing.

Any suggestions?

    I replaced the roller on my fuser at one point, but it didn't quite fix the ghosting issue I had, so I ordered a whole new fuser. Once I put in the new fuser, it's not stuck on initializing. I hope I didn't know somethign loose or break something in the process. I have experience with putting in the fuser, so I'm not new.

    I also tried reverting back to the original fuser, but no luck still. Both LEDs on the front panel blink and it says "Initializing" constantly.

Well we can check and see if the printer is able to run an engine test. This is how you can run this test;

  1. Turn the printer around so the back of the machine is facing you.
  2. Remove the Engine etest button acess door. This is located in the bottom center of the back.
  3. Push the botton once while the printer is on. The printer should print a page with colored horizontal lines.
If the printer is able to print this page there is a very good indication the problem revolves around the PCA formatter board.
The Firmware might be outdated and causing this problem. Worst case scenario the board might be faulty, in that case your better off buying a new machine, since the cost to replace the board will be higher than that to replace this machine.

When I open the toolbox for the LaserJet 2600n printer, it tells the website is not available. I need to clean the jets etc.

You need not to clean laser printer cartridges,it may color or mono. Print cartridges them selves having cleaning blade to clean the surface of the OPC drum every time when its initializing or printing. If you found any vertical tracks on print outs replace the particular cartridge.. If you have any kind of print quality issue,perform calibrate process through printer menu..quality..calibrating.. even if you found quality issue clean the Laser scanner assm.(professionals only can do)

The printer keeps on initialzing and not printing document

well this can be a memory issue or the motherboard of the printer. Try to do a reset on the printer. Its called NVRAM and will clear the memory completely. Turn the unit off and while off press and hold the green check and the orange cancel. Hold them down as you turn them on and wait until you get permanent storage init. Release the keys and wait until it get to ready (It might ask about language just press the check). Before trying to print again clear the print queue and try something that worked before or a new document (like a new word doc with a few letters)

HP 2600n Ironing transfer paper jammed around top roller

It is probably stuck permanently, and the fuser will need to be replaced. I believe the "fuser replacement" instructions are in the manual.
