How do you turn on *** q550 backlit keyboard

If the letters & numbers on your keyboard looks like transparent plastic, then you have a back lit keyboard, but if the letters & numbers looks like they are painted on the key caps, then you don't have back lit keyboard.

let's assume that you have a back lit keyboard: Hold the Function [Fn] key and tap the Spacebar once. That will enable/disable the back light.

You can easily tell if it's a backlit keyboard because the spacebar will have a keyboard icon on the left hand side. If it has the icon, then your keyboard has back lights on it & it should work.
If it doesn't, then it's a hardware issue that a technician needs to fix.

Connecting from laptop to tv wont work now. It was working fine previously

Check the display settings on your laptop to see if the external monitor output is disabled. There is usually a function key on the keyboard with a picture of a monitor on it which can be used to switch between internal & external monitors.
You may also need to try on another monitor/TV or change the HDMI lead.

Keyboard problem & it doesn't work prefect

If the keyboard has a round purple connector, power down the computer then unplug and then plug in the keyboard. Power on the computer. If it works your done if it doesn't replace the keyboard. If this is a USB keyboard, with the computer on, unplug and plug in the keyboard if it works great, if it still isn't working replace the keyboard. NOTE if this is a multi functional keyboard (special keys at the top) make sure you install the driver and any software associated with the keyboard.

GE Wireless keyboard #98615 instructions say to turn the ON button in the bottom of my keyboard. There is no on/off button

As far as I know there is no ON button on the GE 98615 Wireless Thin-Profile Keyboard. Unless is the ON configuration for the NumPad which you will find it in the BIOS.

I Hope this might help you with your GE 98615 Wireless Thin-Profile Keyboard.

1.- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port of your PC, no required batteries.
2.- Insert the batteries with correct orientation into the battery compartment of the keyboard

Please NOTE:

(a) This wireless keyboard provides factory preset connection channels and enables Plug and Play function. (b) This keyboard does not require changing connection ID as there is no ID button on the receiver. (c) When this wireless set encounters radio interference, keyboard will automatically change to a clean channel respectively. (d) Manually changing connection ID is not necessary.

Is your keyboard directly connected to your computer or is it wireless? What OS are you using? (XP, Vista, Win7). If the keyboard is connected to a USB port, try plugging it into a different port.

How do i turn on my wireless keyboard

1 Follow the steps mentiond below:
Leave your current wired keyboard plugged into the computer. Many computers will cease to function if their keyboard is removed.
Make sure that the computer is on and is functioning properly.
Plug the USB wireless adapter of the wireless keyboard into a USB port on your computer. If you don't have a USB port, then your computer is probably too old and likely won't support a wireless keyboard.
Make sure that there are batteries in your wireless keyboard. Oftentimes, the consumer is responsible for putting the batteries in, and they don't come with the keyboard when it's purchased.
Turn the power on for your wireless keyboard. The method of doing this varies depending on the model you've purchased, but the power switch/button is generally located on the bottom of the wireless keyboard.
Wait for the keyboard to download it's driver software. If you don't have a connection to the Internet, use the software that was included with your wireless keyboard to install the driver manually.
Use the wireless keyboard exactly as you would a wired keyboard.

Hi, if this keyboard is wireless try pressing the sync buttons on both 1st the USB connection device then 2nd the Keyboard (if it has them). If no joy then reinstall the Drivers that came on the disk. No disk then goto the website of the makers of your Keyboard and download the Drivers from there and install them.
If niether of these options work or the keyboard is just a plug in 1 then it sounds like the space bar is damaged... Ouch buy a new 1....

Keyboard & Mouse

Make sure that the keyboard wire is plugged in to the keyboard port and mouse wire is plugged in to the mouse port. Remember that you need to restart the system once after you plugged into the motherboard. if that doesn't work then replace the keyboard / mouse and check. if same thing is happening then there is a problem in your motherboard. Thank you.
