Question about Printers & Copiers
I am using win7 as well and in my experience this is a driver incompatibillity with the operating system which you are using. Have a look and see if there is any win 7 drivers for the device you are using on the internet, assuming you are using vista drivers. Hope this can help you.

just remove the usb cable and connect to other usb port and restart the sysem and printer.

Go to printers and devices and right click on the pic of the printer and click on printer properties!allmost sure its under the advanced tab!Good Luck!

Ok, I presume you are using a parallel printer, what you have to do, is go into the BIOS, SETUP, and find the Printer Port, LPT1, and set the port to bi-directional, or SPP, now save, and reboot. Now reinstall again, and it should work. ( It may just work anyway, after reboot, that may be worth a try first)
