Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
(1440X900) setting. How do I adjust screen resolution?
If you are using Windows XP, you can right click on your desktop wallpaper and select the "Display" text, this will bring you to a properties window. Once that comes up, there should be tabs listed near the top of the window, click the LAST tab. On the left of this window now should be a slider with numbers at either end. It is best to try out each setting one by one, simply by adjusting the slider one "notch" to the right each time, and pressing Apply.
If your monitor blanks out for more than 5 seconds, press ESC to go back to your previous setting, which will be your maximum supported resolution.
If you are on Vista, you can do the same thing, but instead of going to "Display", you have to go to "Personalization" on the right click menu, the select "Display Settings" in the window that comes up.
