So you have removed the battery from this laptop for at least 30secs - 1minute? Not really sure about a laptop fuse? Test your DC jack for continuity - with a volt meter - outside prong and inside stem. Those will be the first few steps to finding your issue. Troubleshooting Laptop Adapter and DC Jack
please measure the output for your charger,normally they have 19.5 vdc exactly, if they do not measure the adapter is faulty, repair or replace.If the output is o.k the battery can be faulty. Use the software diagnostic coming with the computer, restart the computer HOLD the key f2 or esc depending of your computer model, and make the diagnostic.try again and see what is the result, if the battery is o.k or faulty.God bless you
Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then -
The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty.
Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
Symptoms of a broken power jack 1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker. 2. 1) no charging means adapter input problem, first check your adapter DC output voltage is ok
2) check DC jack socket on the motherboard:
--- DC socket any pin disconnected, you need use iron and flux to fix it
--- DC socket damage(broken),you have to change it
3) if DC socket connection normall, the DC/DC circiute near around DC socket some component damage, you need find a technacian to repair.
