TV won't come on. Green light blinking.

I have unpluged it and also pushed the reset button several times. Lamp doesn't seem to be the problem. It has don this before in the past. But simply unplugging it has worked this time??? Green Timer/Power light blinking and cannot get any response from remote or buttons on TV, will not turn on. Reset button does not resolve problem and turning power off to unit has not solved problem either. Return power to unit and same situation.

Check the power supply for bad capacitors usually they are swallen,if not check the DM board for bad capacitors too. they are (4) 1000uf/16volts. 105 degrees.you have to replace them with 1000uf/25volts.105 degrees. now i don't know if you have the ability to disasemble the tv to get to this boards,if you don't just call the repairman. and tell him about this caps,ok.

The fuse on the main board is mostly blown this causes this problem.

  • Anonymous Nov 14, 2008

if the fuse is perfect then the problem is of the main power supply board the capacitors on the boards are either loose and needs to be tighten.
or the capacitors r blown or bulged up and needs to be replaced.
start from checking fuse on the main board.

    thanks.

the board gets this types of problems due to moisture collected on it and immediately when u start the tv due to that moisture it gets short and looses.
also due to heavy electricity passed from the tv at certain period when the tv was on and board could not handle that extra current and gets short.
    thanks

Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.

If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.

The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.

The tv wont power on and the green timer light continuously blinks. I have unplugged the the tv and also hit the reset button.

...OK to begin troubleshooting this. Unplug the set and leave for 1 min then plug up and leave for 2 min push the power button and let light blink for 2 min.... now push and hold at the same time the MENU and DEVICE buton st the same time. this is the self diagnoses feature ... the lights should link then pause then blink again... this 2 digit code will help narrow it down. Also have you check the lamp yet?

Mitsubishi Model WD-52725 timer green light blinking fast

My Mitsubishi WD52725 will not turn on...the timer light is blinking. We pushed the reset button, unplugged tv. Just got off the phone with Mitsubishi customer "service." After answering numerous personal questions, and being on hold for several minutes, I was told that the only solution was to push the reset button. Duh! We'd done that several times with no change, which is why I called them! BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!

TV was working earlier, today came home no green power light no nothing

I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.

Lamp out maybe

my tv did the same thing and since I was getting it to work most of the time I didn't do anything until the lamp went out alltogether. If you also get a warning that your lamp needs to be replaced, you better get one. You can get them pretty cheap on EBay and on the web if you google them. Approx. $140 if you search maybe less. From Panasonic it is over $550. It was easy to replace but still cant get the lamp timer meter to reset in mine. Good luck with itl.

Blinking green reset light

Can you please supply us with the make and model as well as the blink count of the green light. That count should be indicating the problem circuit. Once that info is posted, we should be able to give you more details and possible solutions.
