How to reset BIOS password - Toshiba Satellite 1605 CDS
Hi, where is the CMOS battery on the Toshiba Satellite 1605 CDS MOBO? We need to reset (i.e., remove) the BIOS password. We've done a bit of disassembly, but we can't find the CMOS battery or a reset jumper [pins]. Thanks.

If you dont remember the BIOS password, you may remove it by resetting the BIOS password.
Please follow the below steps to reset the BIOS password:
1) Please remove the bottom casing of the Notebook. 2) Once you have removed the below casing, you should be able to see a CMOS Battery. 3) The CMOS Battery will be of a size of a coin. 4) Once you have found the CMOS Battery, please remove and re-insert it again. 5) The CMOS Battery will have the information about the Computer Date, time, BIOS Password etc., 6) Removing and re-inserting the CMOS Battery will reset these settings, which will also remove the BIOS password.

Hi if you want reset bios password ( asume you forget it) You need reset bios find reset CMOS jumper or take out battery for few sec. All settings in BIOS will be reset.

You can reset bios password with 2 method. (1) open back cover of
laptop then find motherboard .Pull cmos cell from motherboard for 15
minutes then again put it in it's position .then it not ask for
password. (2)You can clear password with jumper settings find jumper on motherboard named clear cmos it has 3 pin .1-2-3 Put jumper in 2-3 position then again put it in 1-2 position then check . Let me know if you need more assistance. Thanks.
remove the keyboard the mobo battery is there you need to unsolder one end of it, lift the leg, and turn it on that way for it to clear.. you will have to resolder once done.. have the skills or find someone that does... and you're set..
i have one solution to reset the password of the cmos bios find the cmos battery inside the laptop if you're unsure of what you're doing find a well-experienced techie then remove the cmos battery and reinsert it then there will be no password anymore
