Publishing movie from Movie Maker 6.0 using Vista

Success in creating a movie but when I select "publish" from Movie Maker is locks at 34.6%. I tried downloading Movie Maker 2.6 (a suggestion I found online) but it did not recognize my images. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

I have a similar problem. I can get as far as naming the file for publishing and selecting save location but then screen turns white and movie maker crashes.
I have been through so many ways of correcting this but non have worked.
Have tried renaming msacm.voxacm160 in the registry as some have suggested, didn't work. I don't have nero installed so there is no conflict there. I have even reset my registry back to default settings but still nothing. I have searched the internet for months and no-one seems to have a solution.

Try using other softwares. You can use pinnacle studio or Ulead softwares. They've got more advanced options and features and yet simple to use as movie maker.

When I try to install Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus, I get a message telling to use a good version of Windows and no more. My version of Windows is Windows7-64 bits. What is the solution to this Bill Gates...

this version was released with only 200/xp/vista support. you may just have to run both the installer and the software in compatibility mode. you can do this by right clicking the setup and on the top tab select compatibility mode then select windows xp sp3. there later version of this software (movie maker 17) does support the windows 7 platform

Vista crashes while publishing movie in Windows Movie Maker/DVD Maker

i just found out the problem.
I have nero 7 installed on vista. To fix the vista movie maker crash when rendering, I just renamed this folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter
Renamed DSFilter to something else. VMM no longer crashes and when I want to use Nero again, just rename DSFilter back to normal.
