Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I replaced the ink cartridge in my HP PSC 1400 all in one series and it is still saying check ink. I also took out the color cartridge but didn't replace it because I never make color copies. Does the copier need both or can it work with just one? Could I possibly have a faulty black ink cartridge?

In your printer u need both cartriges inseted in the printer.u cannot install 1 in your printer it will not function.
clean the brown dotted circuit of the cartridges and check out if it is working.or the replacement of both the cartridges is necessary as the message is replace the ink cartridge.
if u get a message of replace black then u have to replace black.
if the message is replace colour the u have to replace colour.
if ust replace cartridges then replace both 1 by 1 .it will work properly after replacement.thanks.

Find the ink level hp 1400

Don't bother. Just keep on printing until the print isn't satisfactory and then change your cartridge or toner cartridge if it's a laser. They give you bogus answers to ink level to get you to buy new cartridges when you still can print with your current cartridge.

Printer always says "Remove and check color cartridge"

It must be your ruined catridge. Some times the wire connections are burned at the side of the catridge and you must thaw away it and buy a new color catridge.

New tri-color cartridge has a problem. I can't see what.

I have an HP Photsmart C4100 printer. I purchased remanufactured ink cartridges (both black and tri-colored) from Vivasmart. The black one works fine, but when I installed the tri-color, I got an error message that says "Print cartridge problem" The following print cartridge has a problem:
Tri-color.
And I can't print. The screen on my printer says "Remove and check color cartridge." I have done this several times and it still won't print. I have turned off the power, removed the cartridges, and unplugged the unit, but it still didn't help. Any suggestions?

Says to check color cartridge

The cartridge could be faulty. Try replacing it with a new colour cartridge. Are you using generics?

You must replace all ink carts with new ones at the same time. Yeah, this how HP makes its money.

Shows what compatible cartridges that are supported by the HP PSC 1400 series which covers the 1410. You could also go to your local printers or computer store and ask them if there are any others that will work. But better off sticking with the genuine article from HP.
