not enough info , if your trying to change the tv input , make sure you select tv on the universal remote first , you either need to keep pushing input til it moves down to your desired input , or use the arrow key to move it down to the input. some require you to hit enter or ok to select , others just wait a second , it should change. if your getting the options menu when your hitting input , then the remote is not compatible with your TV / VHS / DVD...
If you get the input to change and your successful , make sure you hit VHS in order to call a command , if its still in tv mode , your only going backwards , make sure whatever your trying to control , the remote is selected to that device ... Good Luck ..
The Cable Guy .... hope that helps !!!
Don't go and search for IR codes as you'll waste your time. Use the
learning method. Take your bose remote and put it on a flat surface and
point it toward the little square receiver on the dish remote (located
on the top left side). Then press the "aux" mode button on the dish
remote until all the mode buttons light up and the aux mode light starts
to blink. Then press the record button on the dish remote for 3
seconds until the aux mode button lights up and stays lit (it then stays
lit during the whole learning program). On the dish remote press the
button you want to learn but don't hold it down (I started with the up
volume) . Then press the corresponding button on the bose remote but
hold that down until the aux mode button blinks once and comes back on
(if the mode button blinks three times the dish remote did not learn the
command and you should try changing the batteries on the dish remote if
it happens repeatedly that it fails to learn). Program the remaining
commands by repeating the process of pressing a button on the remote,
then pressing and holding the corresponding button on the bose remote.
Don't be afraid to do it with the mute and the power buttons too.
During this process if you don't press a button for more than 30 seconds
it will time out and nothing will be recorded and you will need to
start again. To end the programming press the aux mode button. When
you are using the bose solo using the dish remote you just need to
remember to press the aux mode button first so it flips to command the
Make sure the remote is in SAT mode, and try again. If it is, it sounds
like the remote may just need to be re-addressed to the receiver. Access
the system information screen. On the bottom if a 'Primary Remote
Address' and a 'Secondary Remote Address'. Note the number listed.
With the remote in SAT mode, press the record button three times, and
see if the remote address number changes. If not, hold the SAT button
until all lights on the remote come on. Once they do, let go and SAT
will be blinking. Enter a number between 1 and 15 (different from what's
already listed) and press Pound (#). Press record 3 times again, and
the number should change to the one you chose.
If it did, try the functions again and see if it is working, if it's still having problems let me know!
try this if you need the manual let me know. (PLEASE rate if it was helpful)
If you are programming the remote for a brand/model that is
