I have a problem with operation panel: power circuit failure. How can I get backup data?

you can remove the hard drive and if still ok , connect it to another computer and copy the data there, Digitech make a hard drive adapter with its own power supply, that will make connection easy it will fit all hard drive connections.

No power when you press power button no response

The Power Supply could be bad. The Power Switch could be bad. The Motherboard could be bad. If you have files that you do not want to lose, you could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a "USB Hard Drive Adapter" (available fairly cheap online) to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive. At least you may be able to salvage your data.

My Simpletech 500 gb external hard drive has been working fine for a long time, today it said something was corrupted and then the computer has not picked up on the drive, when you turn it on the blue...

Two possible problems here; First, if the external is old, it may be a hard drive failure. A local pc repair company may be able to recover the data from the drive if you need it. Second, it could be a failure in the controller. If the controller has failed, it simply means that the external device has gone bad and that the hard drive might be fine. A simple way to find out would be to take the hard drive out of its enclosure and put it in your computer. If it works, then the controller was bad.

Computer shuts down on it's own. It will try to re-start but immediately shuts down again

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

I have a memory frame, modle mf-810. I received it 3-4 years ago, I think. It's worked wonderfully until about 2 months ago when we had a power surge. Is this a power cord problem? or is the frame...

a power surge may have fried it if you don't have a breaker switch on the plug that you plug your power supply into. The only way to really determine is to connect your photo frame into a second power supply if you have one to see if it works. I found out the hard way to always have a circuit breaker for my computer units after a power out fried my computer hard drive.

Sometimes it is easier to install a new hard disk and reinstall Windows.
Then either connect the old hard drive as a slave drive (don't forget to set the jumper on this drive as a slave). The other way is to connect the old hard drive to a USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port. this computer will see it as an external hard drive (provided the hard drive is still functioning).
Either way you can download and backup your files.

Hd power problem systemax cpu

If you would provide more information about your Systemax system... model/serial number I can look the specs up. I can tell you the only way that it could be the hard drive would be if you had a bad power supply, not that your system can't handle the "power" of the hard drive. If you end up getting a new power supply, you could opt for one with a little higher wattage if you'd like. A 160gb hard drive isn't going to pull any more meaningful amount of current than a 40gb. What I would look at would be wither you had the jumpers on the hard drive configured correctly. For info on jumpers, see...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumper_(computing)

Individual drive manufactures and drive models have different method for setting the jumpers and it will also very on what other IDE connected devices you have in your computer (optical drives, hard drives, Zip drives, and etc.).
