Question about Apple MacBook 13"White /2.0Ghz Intel Core2 Duo White/2GB (2x1gb)/80GB/SuperDrive (Z0DT) Mac Notebook
Yesterday I had used my laptop without any problems throughout the day, however later that night I had a very strange issue come up. I had shut down the laptop in order to take it to class that evening. When I started it up again @ class, the keyboard would not work. The caps lock light was lit and remained so after I tried to turn it off. The trackpad and the click button below it work, however when I tried to double click on the track pad (I have the feature enabled) it will not work, and only works on the click pad. I can run all programs just fine on the laptop, as well as the internet, however I can not type anything, anywhere. I have had the laptop for less than a year, and this is the first problem I've had. I can't be too upset for that reason, however without the keyboard, I can hardly do anything.
I have taken the battery out and let it rest/set for a good couple of hours, and then put it back in and turned it on. I have also removed the battery, pressed the power button for 15 secs and then put the battery back in and turned it on, only to reach no results. (The tech support guy suggested I try this...neither worked....)
I'm not sure if I had accidently turned on the num lock or pressed some keys to cause this to happen? Regardless, I called the tech center however my warranty did not include the tech phone support to try much else. I currently am no where near a repair center, otherwise I would take it in. However, I do need to use the comp asap. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you So much!
I too have had Macs for years. The one you have now I also have. I have had no problems with it yet. Whenever I have a problem I just take it to an apple store and the Genious will either fix it or be able to tell you what is wrong. It doesn't matter if the warranty is valid or not, they will take care of the problem for you.
