Lately I've been getting the following error "1121611611 - Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. .... (and then it lists the actual text that I attempted to send)
So then I go back in a re-send using a 10 digit number and I get the same message. What am I doing wrong?

In order to send a text message on the iPhone, you must have the entire 10-digit phone number in your phonebook. For example. If you are trying to send a text message to the phone number 555-1234, you must also enter the area code. If the area code it 412, you must put in 4125551234 for the phone number.

As for the person who submitted the original problem:
after you change the number in your address book, you must delete in your SMS messages where you've tried to send the message before.
For example, if you sent a message to Johnny Appleseed, and you got that error message, you change in your phone book to the full 10-digit number. Then, back in your SMS app, you must delete the previous message you sent by (one method) click edit at the top left, the click the line in the red circle next to their name, then click delete.
Then try to resend the message using the new message button.

I have been reciving this msg for few days, and it actually charged from my msg plan. what can i do with it ?
Same problem. My daughter can text me, but when I try her back using the "valid 10-3igit number" it calls for, it gives me the same error message. This is the only number that does that.
I've been having this problem since I have had my iphone (3 weeks now). It only happens to certain numbers in my address book. Anyone have a solution on how to fix this?
