I need to know the inside diameter of the fl;ywheel

Go to the Dewalt service website at and you will find your flywheel, part number 5130128-00, is available but is currently on back order until the end of August. It is highly unlikely Dewalt will discontinue this flywheel as it fits on a large number of their compressors. If you still need the hub's inside diameter, it would have to be the same or a couple thousandths bigger than the diameter of the crank shaft where it mounts on the pump.

I need to adjust my rear brakes. 95 camaro

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies.
  3. Remove the brake drums.
  4. Set drum-to-brake shoe clearance gauge J 21177-A, or equivalent, so that is contacts the inside diameter of the brake drum. Fig. 1: Set the brake clearance gauge to the inside diameter of the brake drum . . . 88149g24.gif

  5. Position the gauge over the brake shoes. Fig. 2: . . . then place the gauge over the outside of the brake shoes 88149g25.gif

  6. Turn the brake adjuster until the brake shoes contact the clearance gauge. The outside diameter of the primary shoe and the secondary shoe will be about 0.050 in. (0.127mm) less than the inside diameter of the drum on each wheel.
  7. After the adjustment is complete, install the brake drum.
  8. Install the tire and wheel assemblies.
  9. Carefully lower the vehicle, then test drive the vehicle, making several stops applying a firm force to the brake pedal. Repeat this until good pedal reserve is built up.

Want to order a part.

Tandard sized bearings such as this are usually available from bearing supply houses. Check your yellow pages under "bearing supply".

There are also online sources.

BE AWARE that there is more to specify than just the diameter.

You have ID, and OD, and width. Seal configurations to name a few.

Need rear brake parts and want to know what rear axles were used on the 1987 Cherokee?

That depends on what was ordered when it was bought. if you have a question about which brakes are on it measure the drum diameter and the shoe width and match that to available parts listed. Or bring one set to the parts house when buying the new ones and physically match them.

I have a portable ''GE quiet power'' portable dishwasher and the hose won't fit on my new faucet - is there some sort of adaptor I can buy for the sink so it will fit properly?

Yes, you need to know whether your faucet is male or female thread (threads on outside or inside) and buy an adapter that will fit into the faucet where the aerator normally sits. These are generally available in the plumbing section of your local hardware store. Make sure you know your diameters as well (O.D. stands for Outside Diameter and is usually male thread where as I.D. stands for Inside Diameter and is usually female thread)

Kenmore heavy duty

I can only assume by rollers you mean bearings were replaced. Unless your dad measured both the ID Fit of the bearing and the OD fit [ inside diameter and outside diameter of the shaft and housings] new bearings could be on the small side of their tolerance, [new bearings are made to be within a certain amount of "slop" if the new bearing was on the outside tolerance, and the shaft or housing was on the large side of the tolerance, the bearings are still allowing the drum to move, and thump.

OR if belt driven, the alignment of the belt is important, if one pulley is out, and the other in, one shaft will be pulling and the other pushing, again a thump.

Something in the bearing/pulley setup has not been discovered bad yet, it takes micrometers and some knowledge of bearing tolerances to resolve this kind of problem.

Think about it, what can thump in a dryer? The tumbler cage. It is most likely that the journal or housings are wore, second the motor may have a front or rear bearing/ housing the same thing, gone bad,

This machine is old enough I would expect to find a worn housing or shaft, either drum or motor, most likely drum, check the alignment of the belt also, but most likely the thump is not cost effective to repair, plus Dad's time which is invaluable.

Start searching the sale sheets, and reading consumer reports, time for a new energy easy dryer anyway.
