Re: ds lite does not recognise the letter K when using...
Recalibrate the touch screen in the DS main setup menu. If still having problems then you might need a new touch pad for your screen to get it working right again. Look for repair guides here or using google.com if you intend to repair it yourself as it is not really a difficult repair if you have the right tools (triwing and philips screwdriver) and the parts (ds lite touch pad).

hello there before you start up the game with the game out there is an option to calibrate the touch screen on the main ds menu it asks you to touch the screen in many places to calibrate it and this should sort your problem i had this problem playing sight traning and after i calibrated the screen it worked perfect my hand writing is poor to lol ( its Better To Type)
if you are sure that the game is faulty, then take the game back to the store with your reciept and tell them of the fault, take your DS with you too as it would have saved the data up to that point on your DS to show them that it is faulty. They should replace the game, games are returnable if they are faulty.
You shouldn't need anything other than a working DS and the game. If it isn't working, then try it on someone else's DS to make sure it's not the game, if it's not, are you having problems with your DS and the top screen?
The DS lite is and upgrade from the DS. The lite being slightly smaller has a brighter screen and supposed longer battery life. The Lite and DS share the DS library of games. So yes you can play the brain training on the Lite.
