As long as it reads the disks ok, then wouldn't worry about it much, its just a led indicating where to insert your disk.

How do you sync the wii and the controller

Remove the battery cover on the Wii remote control (also know as the Wiimote) and you should see a little red button. Press and hold it for 3-5 seconds. While you do that look at the front panel of your Wii console and you should notice a small door beneath the disc slit. There should be a small, rectangular button that is also red. Press and hold it for 3-5 seconds as well. The blue LEDs on the Wii mote should be be flashing while the pairing process is initiated and then the indicator (1-4 dependng on how many you have synced) will become solid letting you know that the controller has been synced.

Your Wii is on stand by, this is normal and the flashing blue light means that you have a message, check for new Miis.

Wii Console: When we first got our we the blue light was always...

You didn't do anything. This is just natural with the Wii. After you had your Wii for a while, the blue light in the disc drive will only come on if:

You insert a disc
You received a message from a channel on your Wii or the internet or etc.

    Try these steps!

  1. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.

  2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game. Press the A Button to bypass the wrist strap screen.

  3. Open the small SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.
  4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
  5. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The blue light on the board will start blinking.
  6. Press and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console while the blue light on the board is still blinking.
  7. The blue light will stop blinking and stay on steady once the synchronization is complete.

Wii board

Make sure that you have synced the board to the wii (similar to a controller). You have to take the battery cover off the board and push the sync button. The blue light will start flashing. From there you need to open the front cover of your wii under the power button.

From there you start up wii fit and it will prompt you to turn on your board. You should get a solid blue light. If you don't, you may need to try syncing again.
