So many people make a copy of that iron maybe a local repair shop for tefal, black n decker, or another can do it. Taking things apart sometimes is not worth the trouble of putting back together. sometimes it requires special tools. call around first before you try it yourself
Thank you for using FixYa. Is the cord cut near the iron end or the outlet end? could the cord be shortened? A new cord can be purchased at most reasonable hardware stores and with a little care and attention can be replaced yourself.
I don't know what brand of iron you have, but most irons are not repairable. I work for Black & Decker and if you needed a new cord for one of our irons, you'd have to replace the iron.
Unless you paid a small fortune for your iron ($100+) and you can see where the cord on your iron is able to be pulled out without taking the iron apart, chances are you'll have to purchase a new iron.
