Question about SVA-USA HD4208TIII-VR 42 in. Plasma Television
I have a 30" sva tv and when switched on the red light comes on to show standbye, when a channel button is pressed the light changes to green and for a fraction of a second the tv comes on with a box in the centre of the screen which says dtv then goes off, the green light then flashes without a break until the tv is put back on standbye and this is all i get from the tv, please could you help. thank you in advance.
I called the factory or the distributor or wholesaler (customer service) that comes out on the web and they told to just buy a new remote cuz tv just isn't recognizing the remote. Can this be true? If this is far from being true, where do I buy the boards and what are the chances that the boards are the real problem?
thanks once again.

SOURCE: SVA PLASMA TV
I fixed Mine ($30 pdp on ebay lol) 4 $8 bucks it turned out to be a bad smd diode(1Amp) and a shorted scr (I replaced with nte5406) by the red error led I'd suggest to look 4 shorted diodes not ones by transformers but the more isolated circuits. also a few bad samwha caps that read high voltage potential (hypot) between gnd and the body of the capacitor (although not uncommon but I replaced them it Just in case) shock hazard. IMO its is a poorly designed power supply that needs some retrace jumpers to correct some of the flaws and even afterwords still some bias noise in picture but its expected in such an old tv.
